Lily Matras

Lily Matras (dz. 1991) ir franču-vācu kuratore un producente, kas specializējusies dzīvās mākslas formās. Parīzes politisko studiju institūta absolvente – Sciences Po, viņa velta sevi mākslas un sabiedrības saikņu pētīšanai caur performatīvā perspektīvu. Līdz 2020. gadam veidojusi mākslinieku plakātu izdevniecību Lapin-Canard, pēc tam pievienojusies maģistrantūras programmai deju studijās Freie Universität Berlin un līdzdibinājusi “The Performance Agency”, kuru vadījusi līdz 2024. gadam. Nesen viņa izveidojusi savu platformu “Plaisir d'offrir”, lai turpinātu pētīt kā mākslas pieredzes var veicināt kopienas veidošanu. Kopš 2019. gada Lilija ir arī vieslektore “Sciences Po Paris”, pasniedzot “Domājošie ķermeņi”, kas ir teorijā un praksē balstīts seminārs par performances mākslu un ķermeņa politiku.

Lily Matras (b. 1991) is a French-German curator and producer specialized in live-art forms. A graduate of the Paris Institute for Political Studies – Sciences Po, she dedicates herself to studying the connections between art and society through the lens of the performative. After directing the artist poster publishing house Lapin-Canard until 2020, she joined the MA program in Dance Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and co-founded 'The Performance Agency', which she co-directed until 2024. She has realized a variety of site-specific performance formats in collaboration with artists across genres, institutions throughout Europe, and various creative industries. She recently launched her platform 'Plaisir d’offrir' to further explore how experiencing art can foster a sense of community. Since 2019, Lily has also been a guest lecturer at Sciences Po Paris, teaching 'Thinking Bodies', a theory- and practice-based seminar on performance art and body politics.
