Oslo Red Cross, Network After Imprisonment

5) The Red Cross Network After Imprisonment is a support unit for prisoners and former convicts who want to do something about their life situations and are on their way back to society. The Network assists them by offering one-to-one follow-up, social meeting places where their social skills can be trained, leisure activities, work training and assistance with finding a job, help with debt problems and personal finances, as well as special assistance for young people released from imprisonments and for convicted juveniles. Risk of recidivism is especially high in the first year after release. It is therefore important to have good support and cooperation with convicts in the phase between imprisonment and release.
